Using Out of Stock

If OUT OF STOCK is selected, the system will display an F10 window showing the unshipped sales orders for the item entered. See Using F10 Selection Boxes Overview for more information.

Note: If no unshipped orders exist for the item entered the following message will appear: "Nothing found for selected criteria!!! Space bar to continue."

The display includes the following fields:

• Cust – The customer ship-to ID
• Order – The unshipped sales order number
• Ord Qty – The ordered quantity in the invoicing unit of measure
• Un – The invoicing unit of measure
• Price – The selling price of the item
• Pounds – The total ordered in the invoicing unit of measure
• Un – The invoicing unit of measure
• Problem – Reserved for future use. This feature is not available at this time.

 

From this screen you may select or tag any sales order by scrolling to the sales order and pressing Enter. Use the F9 key to select or tag all sales orders. When you are done selecting sales orders, press the F10 key to exit the selection window.

2. Command options will appear:

• Update – Select Update to save your work.
• Exit – Select Exit to exit and return to the Ship date field.

 

Select Update.

 

3. The following message will appear: "Print? No/Yes."

• Select yes to print. Command options will appear, allowing you to print or choose from a set of other print options.
• Select no to return to the Ship date field.

Note: Pick lists will automatically be updated with a shipped quantity of zero and cannot be changed. Changes to the sales order for the out of stock item must be made in Shipping.

1. If SUBSTITUTE is selected, the system will display SUBSTITUTE at the Action line, and provide a field where to enter the item group for the new or substituted item can be entered. Enter the item group and select the item from the list.

After you have selected a substitute, the system will display an F10 window with the unshipped sales orders for the item. The display includes the following fields:
